Time to venture from the pool to the great outdoors

As the water is warming up it’s time to move our swimming training from the pool to the great outdoors! Our programme of technical open water swimming sessions continues at Bude Sea Pool starting on Friday afternoons from the 31st May 2019. We have sessions available Friday afternoons and also on Saturday mornings.

Swimmers training with us get to enjoy the cozy Hub at Bude Sea Pool before and after your lesson. A welcoming mug of tea or coffee is always a happy sight after you’ve been in the pool!

We have a full range of open water specific wetsuits which you are welcome to borrow for your session.

These sessions are a fantastic way for you to experience the thrills and challenges of open water swimming in a safe, enclosed environment. The pool is 91m long by 45m wide so there’s lost of space for some great open water swimming training. We provide a dedicated lifeguard for our sessions and the lessons are coached by an open water qualified coach.

You don’t need to be an elite swimmer or triathlete to enjoy these sessions, The beauty of open water swimming is that is inclusive for all abilities of swimmer, no matter your background. We have experience working with seasoned Ironman athletes and open water marathon swimmers right down to recreational swimmers. Anyone wanting to gain open water experience is welcomed.
