Orca Swimming Fins
Swimming with fins can help you become a better swimmer! They are a well-known training aid to focus on your kick, plus they’re great fun to use as you zoom along!
These Orca fins are made from 100% silicone, are available in a range of sizes and have an open toe which helps you get a comfortable, snug fit.
Surf Swim School Head Coach’s verdict:
Swimming with fins helps to improve your up-kick, ankle flexibility and overall kicking technique. They also allow you to work at faster speeds using less energy.
Fins are tools of resistance, so by using them you’re giving a greater workout to your legs, and if you really want a tough workout combine fins with a pair of drag socks!
These Orca swimming fins have short blades with a closed heel and open toe. They are ideal for improving your sprints and middle-distance swims as you will be able to train with an increased kick frequency. The blade is fairly flexible, we didn’t have any problems generating a fast kick tempo using them.
We found these fins to be a great training bag edition that will suit a variety of kick training, they lack some of the more technical advances that you see on more expensive fins but as open water swimmers our needs are very different to a 50m fly sprinter!
